Step-by-step
- Remove empanadas from packaging. Do not thaw.
- Place empanadas on a microwave-safe plate and lightly cover with a paper towel.
- Microwave to warm the center:
- 01 empanada: 1 minute
- 04 empanadas: about 4 minutes total.
- Rearrange halfway through.
- Preheat oven or air fryer to 380°F.
- Transfer empanadas to:
- A parchment-lined baking sheet (oven), or
- The air fryer basket (do not stack).
- Heat for 5–8 minutes until the crust is crispy.
- Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
