Kitchen Manager oversees coordinating and supervising kitchen staff according to food safety standards. Their duties include hiring, training, and scheduling Cooks, performing quality control on food leaving the kitchen and ordering inventory to keep up with demand, and supporting kitchen staff to achieve cooks schedule, on other hand, coordinating activities to markets and attending markets when required.
- Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service. Purchase ingredients from different sources like Wholesales, Farms and Online Orders.
- Hiring new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation.
- Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times.
- Working with the management to develop and maintain the food menu.
- Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels.
- Creating schedules for all kitchen staff
- Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste.
- Organize teams for Markets and Events and attend to them when required.
- Create new recipes and document them in My Alfajor Crafter.
- Build good relationships with all internal and external customers.
Compensation:
- Hourly based, rate $20-$25/h.
Schedule
- 4-6 days a week, including weekends for Market.
